hand written notes appear silently
upon my desk...
They are what a 12 year old
has on his mind
with a birthday in november.
and so they sat
waiting, waiting, waiting,
on a saturday
two boys
suspended in water - time.
Ambhibian is derived from the ancient Greek amphibios
which means both kinds of life
initially used for all kinds of combined natures,
eventually used to refer to animals that live
both in and out of the water
all these things occur to me
as the sun says goodnight again
over the pacific
