took me to greenham common.

she was going to teach the "american with the big smile,"

a thing or two.

i never forgot it.

the CND began life in 1957.

In 1981 Greenham Common Air Base became the target of an anti-nuclear protest that

was to last for 19 years.

Women protesting at the siting of Cruise Missiles (nuclear missiles) at the base set

up the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp, which ran until the year 2000.
